 Because i am reading the whole series,

 Greg and Rodrick

 Rodrick is taking over Greg's life everywhere,

Greg is being taken over by his older brother and then become best friends,

When they have a party when there parents tell them they can't have friends over and they have a party and then they get in trouble and Rodrick can't play in the talent show and Greg gets him to play in the talent show,

5 because it helps kids learn that taking a risk for someone means a lot to them
